Audits
What does ADA inc audit?
ADA inc can produce both physical and organisational access audits of buildings or events.
Access Auditing is the process of looking at buildings and organisations - either as they currently or are planned to exist - and creating better spaces and events for everyone. Many funders insist on some degree of access auditing before allowing funds to be committed for capital expenditure. Jo served as part of the Capital Panel for the Arts Council of England for over five years so has extensive experience in ensuring aspirations around access are met.
All audits are individually tailored to the organisation/event and ADA inc specialises in ensuring the following are covered:
- Physical access - Ensuring provision is adequate for all disabled people to enter, leave and use your facilities...
- Signage and orientation - Enabling people to find their way around using a variety of sensory options...
- Access for people with sensory impairments - Providing access for people who are Deaf, hearing impaired, blind, partially sighted or deaf/blind...
- Access for people with learning disabilities – Providing access for people with learning disabilities or difficulties…
- Access for people with complex care needs - Additional provision to include people with multiple and severe impairments which mean they have complex care needs...
- Access for people with mental health needs - Users and survivors of mental health services often have specific needs which can also be met within building and event design...
